The Surface water modeling simulates the development in the river beds and channel plans form caused by changes in the hydraulic regime that includes bank erosion, scouring and shoaling. It assists in analysis of alignments and dimensions of navigation channels for minimizing maintenance dredging, prediction sedimentation of water intakes, outlets, locks, harbors and reservoirs and forecast the impact of bridge, tunnel and pipeline crossings on river channel hydraulics.
