Land Fill Gas Emission Modeling is used to estimate emission rates for total landfill gas, methane, carbon dioxide, non-methane organic compounds, and individual air pollutants from municipal solid waste landfills. These emissions estimates establish the requirements for gas collection and control system installation and operation. The final step is to calculate LFG recovery based on model’s projections of LFG generation and the collection efficiency.
